About Us
x BABY QUODDLE STORY-Our story starts here
In 2013 we were due to have our last baby and felt passionate that we wanted to give our little treasure the best start in life. We had decided as most parents do to try and use organics and natural products to provide a healthy platform for our little one. Abel was born and we all fell in love.
Shortly after I went on the quest to find a feeding bottle that Abel could use for water or as a supplement bottle. I found it interesting that there was no bottles in the current Australian and International market that did not contain plastics to some degree.
It also saddened me that there was still a negative stereotype placed on bottle feeding our babies and it not being conducive to natural parenting. Therefore I felt it in the best interest of my baby and others that I design a bottle that could give parents the confidence to make their own choices without social bias.
I then worked closely with an amazing, most patient, young engineer who's goal it was to create a beautiful bottle that was all natural and free of carcinogens. It took some 12 months to get the design principles perfect but we did it.
My amazing family and I then travelled to Malaysia and sourced a company that would then also assist in the ongoing challenges. We had many hours of meetings in boardrooms with little Abel crawling around making us proud. There were many hurdles to get the bottle and teat compliant with Australian and International standards but keeping it aesthetically beautiful.
Baby Quoddle the 'Abel series' grew slowly and organically with the assistance and professional expertise of many both here and overseas. My family most importantly have encouraged and supported my journey to baby bottle perfection. Our design was patented and it has not been until late 2015 early 2016 that all the pieces would fall into place.
OUR VISION
We are wanting parents to have a choice with high quality products for their babies. Our bottles are made from brasiliensis hevea rubber and borosilicate hand blown glass the highest quality components that we could source.
In addition to that I want to change the way society looks at baby bottles. There is still a negative context toward bottle feeding that still lingers in our culture. A mothers choice and circumstance should never be under review and the Baby Quoddle I hope leads us in this direction.
Now with the increased awareness of allergies and childhood illnesses our bottle is an alternative for parents with similar concerns.
Baby Quoddle teats are softer than silicone, and are very hygienic because they are moulded in one piece without joints or cracks where dirt and bacteria can accumulate.
The Baby Quoddle is a nursing bottle which means that we encourage parents to sit and cuddle their baby during feeding time. There is much research into the benefits of skin to skin contact and engaging your baby whilst feeding.
Yes our bottle is glass and may break if dropped therefore we only recommend you nurse while feeding.
Our bottle has been three years in design and development and our first delivery should arrive mid 2016. Please contact me for any further information or enquiries. We are very interested in any wholesale enquiries.
VISION STATEMENT : To give our babies a natural start with bottlefeeding.
MISSION STATEMENT : To foster style and choices in urban parenting.
